Randall "Scott" Churchwell
CRNP
I'm Scott Churchwell, a nurse practitioner. I graduated from Pinson Valley High School in 1987. I then entered the fire service and spent over 30 years as a firefighter/EMT and worked my way up to the rank of captain. During this time, l attended Wallace State College where I obtained my associate's degree in nursing in 2005. My nursing experience started in the emergency department where I gained experience in both pediatric and adult care. Then I moved over to the operating room as a surgical nurse. I obtained my bachelor's degree in 2021 from Walden University and then on to the University of Alabama for my master's degree. I was board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the ANCC. I was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau, nursing honor society, and Omega Nu Lambda national honor society. I graduated with Honors in 2024.
I now live in Oneonta with my wife and 4 children. My 2 oldest are grown and have families of their own. We adopted the 2 younger children 8 years ago and claimed them as our own. We enjoy home schooling the younger ones and sharing adventures with them. I am active in my church and still active with my local volunteer fire department.
I have always put my patients first and foremost and will continue to do so. I am excited to join all the wonderful people at United Doctors where I will be mainly working in the occupational medicine/DOT clinic.
